A Little Shopping Help

How are you doing my gems?  It's Hanukah and Christmas week and Downtown Miami is bustling! People everywhere are roaming the streets, scavenging for last minute gifts.  This week we have had so many people come in to the jewelry store looking for something special, and of course we have been fortunately been able to oblige, but any of you are still out there, looking for something fabulous, let me help you with the piece of the week.

I have highlighted these gorgeous earrings today because they are made of a very special gem, red carnelian, which is very rare and unique in fine jewelry design.  I love this piece because of its deep red color, which I have highlighted by using black and white diamonds, and 18kt yellow gold.  The teardrop shaped design is flattering for every face and has been very popular this holiday season.

Carnelian is a type of chalcedony of the same variety as the agate. It color ranges from salmon, rust to sienna shades, although the most coveted shade is the deep red, like the earrings above.

As far as metaphysical powers go,  is a stone of creativity, individuality, personal power and courage. It is sometimes called the "actor's stone".  It can aid memory, including recall of past lives. Being associated with the sacral chakra, it brings energy and can
increase determination and sexual desire.

It protects from anger, jealousy, rage and fear. In addition it can help with manifestation of one's desires, and is a traditional "good luck" stone. Carnelian can help ease or remove sorrows and harmonise energies in the home. Physically, it has been used to heal sores, rejuvenate tissues and cells, rheumatism, kidney problems, gall stones, colds, pollen allergies, and neuralgia.
Hope this helps with your shopping dilemmas or at least your holiday wish-list.

Love Always
Dani K
