WWWW: Gaby Espino
Fall is officially here and with that yet another red carpet season begins. This year we are getting started with beloved Venezuelan actress, Gaby Espino at the Premios Billboard de la Musica Mexicana.
Wearing a beautiful dress by Rosita Hurtado, one of my favorite designers, Gaby made a triumphant entrance and walked the red carpet like the pro that she is. You might think I'm being biased since a big part of her strapless look was the gorgeous filigree earrings from my latest collection, but the readers of People in Espanol have spoken. Gaby was chosen as one of the night's best dressed!
Channeling a screen siren from the golden era of Hollywood, Gaby was really working her fabulous dress and jewels. Even though it looks so easy, to achieve this stunning look takes a lot of work and a lot of talented people such as the wonderful stylist Claudia Zuleta, who I love having the pleasure to work with. When I finally was the ring and had to decide on the earrings, the choice was clear. These pink champagne colored dress was the perfect match for my vintage style filigree earrings. Filigree is a very delicate, complicated and detailed work made from gold, silver, or other fine twisted wire. It is used to decorate and beautify jewelry by adding a graceful touch, as you can se above. Filigree can only be made by hand so it is very rare and costly. The final piece is made up of different smaller parts that are later joined together giving it the unique look. Take a look at the details. The fabulous and delicate designs you can see are called filigree.
These phenomenal earrings in pink quartz, pink sapphires and white diamonds were the obvious choice for Rosita Hurtado's breathtaking dress. Her design was very classic and had a vintage feel that is very modern today. Here it is again, the look in action, so feast your eyes.

The elegant piece, with it's clean and modern lines, is a perfect contrast to the earrings. With natural pink quartz, rose gold and diamonds, this modern ring complements the highly detailed filigree work very well. One could almost call them a match made in red carpet heaven!
