Piece of The Week: Citrine Solitaire

How is everyone? Hope all of my gems here and around the world had a lovely weekend!  In case you were wondering I sure did, since the warm, rainy weather was just marvelous.  Spring is now official, and even the clocks have changed to prove it.  If you live in the U.S. and haven't done it yet, what are you waiting for? You don't want to be late for yoga or a meeting, so go on...

One of the great things about seasons changing up, is the sense of earth's renewal, no doubt, but another fabulous thing is that you get to update your wardrobe and accessories to go with your surroundings and well!  This weekend I was in love with my citrine solitaire ring, which is practically screaming "Spring has Sprung" off the rooftoops of Brickell Key.

I basically wore it just about everywhere.  Here I am chilling  in jeans soaking in the good weather, at the park on a Sunday afternoon.

This piece is quite extraordinary due to the size and color of the gemstone. Cirine is one of the most durable gemstones, so it's great for a piece like this, that you want to wear every day. It is also known as the "success stone" because its said to promote success in business and good fortune.

Citrine dissipates negative energy of all kinds, as it does not absorb any negative vibes.  Some attribute family happiness and harmony to this gemstone, since it helps generate stability in all areas, and is good for general protection. It is also associated with helping people overcome obsessions and addictions, so if you are trying to maybe quit smoking, this is the ring for you.

For this design, I chose to surround it with petite white diamonds and designed this beautiful setting that would make the beautifully square cut gemstone the protagonist. Because citrine is so durable it is easier to care for than other gemstones.

Citrine is a gemstone that brings happiness and cheer to those who wear it and to those around them.  I think it would be a perfect present for anyone in your life, but more importantly for yourself.  Who says you have to wait for a good thing?

Love Always
Dani K
