After seeing a few of the red carpet pictures of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), I can already sum up the jewelry in three words: bracelets, bracelets and more bracelets. Since this is kind of an serious festival, edgy metallic cuffs were seen on everyone from the lovely Vanessa Hudgens to one of my favorite rising style stars, the gorgeous Emma Watson.
Perfect for her feminine dress, Emma Watson's cuffs are to die for. |

But cuff style bracelets were not the only arm candy shown on the TIFF red carpet. Bangles made a huge comeback, so bracelets in general were a big hit, especially with older actresses like Jennifer Garner, Abbie Cornish and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Jennifer wore these platinum and diamond bangles to the premier of her husband Ben Affleck's movie, Argo. They were from famed jewelry house Van Cleef and Arpels. You can get a similar look with my celestial bangles in tri color gold. I love these simple bangles because they are finished with baguette cut diamonds and beautiful sun, moon and stars cut-outs. I have worn these on numerous occasions, and they are some of my more versatile and wearable pieces.
A fab trio: 18kt yellow, white and rose gold bangles, with beautiful baguette cut diamonds. |
Another great bangle I always carry, is my solitaire diamond and white gold bangle. Worn alone or stacked with other bracelets, this is a great addition to any jewelry box. It is simple, classic and elegant, and can be worn both for day and night. This look was especially cute on Selena Gomez, who is always fashionable, yet manages to stay age appropriate.

Also wearing loads of bracelets was Naomi Watts. Looks like she could not decide between delicate bangles or edgy cuffs, so she went for both! LOL. It was nice to see her go all out and eschew the minimal jewelry look most actresses chose.

If you like her look, you will love my Pantera bracelet in rose gold and white diamonds. It's high fashion without being too overpowering. Wear it alone or layered like Naomi if you dare.

Even though all the jewels at TIFF were spectaculat, the best arm candy award goes to one of the reigning queens of the red carpet, seasoned pro Gwyneth Paltrow and her amazing oversized chain bracelet. Like many of the starlets, Gwyneth also wore a simple black dress, plus her signature straight hair and minimal makeup, but it was her bracelet that made the outfit go from boring to high fashion.
Oversized chain bracelets are what is HOT for Fall, and will probably be seeing more and more of these as the year ends. I have already spotted trendsetter Jennifer Lopez wearing several gold and diamond ones casually stacked together. For my interpretation on this fabulous trend I designed this beautiful rose gold and pink sapphire for up and coming collection. Isn't it beautiful?
Phenomenal large link pink sapphire and rose gold bracelet. Love it! |
What do you think of all the arm candy at TIFF? Although I did miss necklaces and was disappointed at all the bare necks, I do get that it's not a super high fashion festival, and that everyone is trying to keep it neutral. However, I did love that it was bracelets this year that took center state, because it's not always that you get to see so many varieties on the red carpet.
Love Always
