I have always admired Angel Sanchez, and have followed his career when I first noted celebrities wearing his beautiful evening gowns. Like me, Angel Sanchez was inspired early on to pursue a career in the fashion world. Born in Venezuela, as a young kid, he was always surrounded by dressmaking, and began sewing and making intricate dresses in the 80's. In 1997, he moved to New York City, where his design career flourished. His eveningwear collection was picked up by top US retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman, and a successful foray into bridal couture followed suit.
Angel Sanchez is renowned for his elegant designs that are architectural, contemporary and feminine, all at the same time. He likes to combine little touches of drama with true innovative details. After almost 20 years of design trajectory, Angel's designs are worn by the world's best dressed women. His glamourous gowns can be seen on Hollywood beauties such as Sandra Bullock and Eva Longoria (who had him design the ultimate wedding gown) and socialites such as Daisy Olarte de Kanovos.

So far, international press for the event has been overwhelming. "Semillas de Esperanza" promises a day of fun, fashion, elegance and of course philanthropy and shopping for a good cause. I am so excited and honored, and have been hard at work developing the looks for Angel's beautiful gowns for Fall 2012. And when I say they are beyond gorgeous, I mean it. They really are exquisite!
